Industrial Charm Meets Boho Elegance: Inside The Weaving Shed

The Weaving Shed, Old Glamis Factory is a hidden gem that masterfully blends industrial heritage with modern versatility. Located in Dundee, this venue exudes character with its exposed brick walls, concrete floors, and original architectural features that nod to its rich textile history. Natural light floods the space through expansive windows, highlighting its raw textures and creating an ambiance that feels both timeless and contemporary.

The Weaving Shed provided an inspiring canvas for creativity, brought to life by a talented team of wedding suppliers. The brief was to capture something that beautifully blends a romantic boho spirit with an industrial edge. Set against the backdrop of a rustic warehouse, the warm colour palette and earthy tones infused every detail with a cozy yet vibrant energy. Touches like exposed brick, metal accents, and warm candlelight created a striking contrast, adding depth to the romantic atmosphere. Each shot captures the essence of a modern, free-spirited couple who aren’t afraid to blend styles to create something truly unique.

Dress & Veil

The Hayes by Justin Alexander is a beaded lace and tulle A-line dress, pictured in Sand colour. The delicate dress features a V illusion neckline and V back as well as side illusion insets and a flattering cummerbund at the waist. Gown embellished with beaded and sequined lace appliques that trickle down the skirt. Richard designs provided an ivory catherdral length veil with lace detailing.

Hair and Make up

Laura from Fold & Willow created a boho half up, half down style with some face framing and loose waves. Styled using GHD, Moroccanoil and Silhouette.

Helena Milne MUA used Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk eyeshadow palette and lipstick to create a classic bridal look. The blush tones and natural finish to the skin allow the brides natural beauty to shine through for a timeless yet modern feel.

Flowers

The bouquet used locally sourced flowers from Fife in shades of pink and peach bound in a raspberry cotton velvet ribbon. Featuring dahlias, delphinium, nigella, snapdragon, achillea, rudbeckia, geum, carnation, cosmos and more. The table and stand arrangements also included hydrangea, quicksand rose, Lisianthus and Tanacetum. All mechanics were reusable and no plastic was used.

Fifty Six Events – Styling & Hire items

Hire items included - Draping fabric, wooden plinths, rugs, lanterns, vases, brass and beige candlesticks, dinner candles, tealights, rattan place mats, runners and glassware, bamboo sofa and table and signage.
